Mission Statement and Vision Statement
At Knocknagin Primary School, we are committed to creating a supportive learning environment where kindness and happiness are at the heart of everything we do. Our unwavering dedication to the holistic development of each and every pupil ensures that 'Happy Learning' is central to every aspect of our school community.
Our aim is that every pupil feels safe and valued and is empowered to fulfil their potential. We embrace openness and compassion, as we encourage our children to develop awareness of their own emotions and those of others. Our commitment to knowledge and growth empowers our pupils to be ambitious, resilient and independent.
We deeply value the essential role that pupils, staff, parents, governors and members of the wider community play in our school. Our Parent Teacher Association plays a particularly pivotal role in enriching our school community, fostering strong connections and offering new opportunities that enhance the educational experience for all. We believe in the power of collaboration to support everyone involved.
We strive to provide a learner-centred approach that is inclusive, meeting the needs, abilities and interests of all learners. We are committed to nurturing each pupil's faith, ensuring that they grow in a happy environment as unique members of God’s family. This promotes the development of their emotional health and wellbeing.
We empower our pupils to make responsible decisions. Through the Eco and School Councils and lots of other daily experiences, our pupil voices shape, influence and celebrate every part of school life.
By engaging in partnerships with other local schools, we develop our awareness of the world around us where we embrace our culture and heritage. We are situated at the foot of Slieve Gallion and we appreciate the beauty of our local area, Desertmartin.
At Knocknagin Primary School, 'Happy Learning' is not simply our motto—it is the heartbeat of our school community.
