All pupils participated in our Heartstart programme.
We watched and discussed the videos - Rhian’s Day, Milly’s Day and Steve’s Day.
Pupils learned D.R.S.A.B.C.
Looking for Danger, checking for Response, Shouting for help, checking for clear Airways, checking for signs of Breathing and discussing the process of CPR.
Pupils demonstrated the Recovery Position and learned the rhyme- ‘Please sir, slap my face, lift my leg and roll me over.’
Pupils worked in small groups, with pupils from a range of classes, to produce an information poster on all the knowledge gained and ‘Happy Learning.’
They had lots of fun and remembered so much.
We hope pupils shared this knowledge with everyone at home.
